Comment : 'Copper Bowl with Apples' is a still life miniature painting measuring (framed) just 17.5 x 12.5 cm.
I am pleased to be able to incorporate two aspects of my creativity in this painting, as the bowl was hand raised by me in my metal smithing workshop from a single flat sheet of copper, when first I created the bowl through numerous rounds of hammering and heating, I never thought that I would one day end up painting it too!
I have recently exhibited artwork at the Mall Galleries in London (2018, 2019) for the Royal Miniature Society exhibition, and this year (2020) I had a piece of silver sculpture accepted into the exhibition for the Society of Botanical Artists exhibition (also at the Mall Galleries).
I am a member of the High Peak Artists Association and sell silver handmade jewellery and engraved prints at the Gallery in the Gardens (Pavilion Gardens) Buxton.
